　　在过去两周的开放日活动中， 我们收到了很多家长关于德闳办学理念、授课方式、 师资力量、办学特色等方面的咨询。我们将挑选一些具有代表性的话题在微信的平台上与家长们逐一做专题介绍。 这次我们要介绍的话题是德闳的学院制度。

　　相信看过“哈利波特”的家长应该对学院制度并不陌生。 学院制度始于英格兰， 是英国学校最为传统的特色之一。 德威公学最早于1919年开始实行学院制，当时共设有8个学院，目的在于鼓励学院之间在体育、音乐、戏剧、艺术、辩论等文体活动项目的健康的竞争，发展学生积极正面的个性品质， 提高团队意识，引领他们建立起对未来成功至关重要的社会价值观。

　　德闳学校与德威教育教育集团旗下所有姊妹学校一样共设有四个学院。德闳的四个学院分别是容闳学院、沙克尔顿学院、埃尔哈特学院以及宋庆龄学院。 在这些名人的身上我们看到的是勇气、毅力、奉献和慈爱，我们希望学生从这些过去的杰出人士身上汲取力量，逐步成长为未来的行业领袖。 所有德闳的学生在入校时会由学校综合考量各方面因素，将学生安排入各个学院。每个院校都会有来自不同年级的学生， 高年级的学生发挥榜样作用带动低年级的学生，一起参与学院之间的各项竞赛活动。 学院制度为不同年级的学生提供了一个合作互助和交流沟通的平台。

　　容闳学院

　　容闳（1828-1912）

　　1854年，容闳从耶鲁大学毕业，成为第一位在中国出生，在美国耶鲁大学毕业的中国留学生，常被誉为“中国现代留学生之父”。虽然从耶鲁大学毕业本身就是一个巨大的成就，但他在毕业后的贡献才是最值得被铭记的。通过他的不懈努力，清政府批准了他的教育计划，也就是我们熟知的中国幼童留美计划。这些留学生回到中国，成为了中国工程、外交和学术领域的先行者。其中就包括“中国铁路之父”詹天佑和清华大学前身清华学堂的校长唐国安。所以容闳也被称为“中国现代化之父”。如今容闳的后代依然在为现代教育事业贡献力量，目前也在德威国际教育集团从事高级管理工作。

　　宋庆龄学院

　　宋庆龄（1893-1981）

　　举世闻名的二十世纪的伟大女性。她出生于上海，是国父孙中山的夫人。中华人民共和国成立后她代表国家积极参与大量的国务活动，并把许多精力投入妇女与儿童的文化、教育、卫生与福利事业中。她是全国妇联名誉主席，1981年被授予中华人民共和国名誉主席的荣誉。

　　沙克尔顿学院

　　欧内斯特?沙克尔顿爵士(1874 - 1922)

　　1901年1月，德威公学毕业的欧内斯特?沙克尔顿率领一支探险队到达南极，创下了到达地球最南端的记录， 并为此获得骑士爵位。 沙克尔顿的一生都在努力拓展人类的探险极限。由于他非凡的勇气和杰出的领导才能，尽管每一次的探险都险象丛生，却从来没有损失过一名队员。 在德闳学校，我们培养每一个学生的领导力， 激励他们发扬这种挑战自我，超越极限的精神。

　　埃尔哈特学院

　　艾米丽·埃尔哈特（1897 - 1939）

　　艾米丽·埃尔哈特是美国著名女飞行员和女权运动者。她是第一位获得十字飞行荣誉勋章的女飞行员、第一位独自飞越大西洋的女飞行员。后来，埃尔哈特又是第一个飞过大西洋和太平洋的人。 不幸的是，在1937年，她试图从赤道环游世界时神秘地消失了。她的失踪至今仍是个迷。

　　Dehong House System

　　We often get asked about Dehong School philosophy,pg麻将胡 teaching methods, teaching staff and various other aspects. In the following weeks, we will pick a few topics to answer on our WeChat platform. This week, we will introduce the Dehong House System.

　　The House System is a traditional feature of British independent schools. The house system was introduced at Dulwich College in 1919 when the boys were initially divided into 8 houses for competition across different subjects, such as athletics, music, drama, arts and Debate and so on. The aim was to promote team awareness and educate students about positive social values.

　　Like most of our sister schools in Dulwich College International, Dehong has four houses. The four houses are:pg麻将胡网页版 Rong Hong House, Shackleton House, Earhart House and Song House. The four houses are named after exemplary leaders in their fields, men and women who displayed courage, perseverance, commitment and charity throughout their lives. Our students will learn from leaders of the past to become the leaders of the future. All Dehong students will be assigned to different houses by the school. With houses spanning every year in the school, the house system provides a platform for students to build friendships and work with friends across different ages.

　　Shackleton House

　　Sir Ernest Shackleton (1874 - 1922)

　　In January 1909, former Dulwich College student, Ernest Shackleton led an expedition to the South Pole, earning a new Farthest South Record and a knighthood for his accomplishment. Shackleton continued to push the boundaries of human exploration throughout his life, and thanks to his courage and leadership never lost a single man on any of his perilous adventures. We believe in fostering that spirit of strong leadership and drive to go beyond the possible in every student at our Colleges.

　　Rong Hong House

　　Rong Hong（1828-1912）

　　In 1854, Rong Hong became the first Chinese born student to graduate from Yale University. He is commonly known as “Father of Chinese Overseas Students”. Though his graduation was a great success in itself, it was what Rong Hong accomplished after university that he would truly be remembered for. Through his efforts, the Qing Court approved his plan to organise what became known as the Chinese Education Mission. The students who returned to China became leaders in engineering, diplomacy and academia. They include Zhan Tianyou, a man known as the “Father of China’s Railroads’ and Tian Guo’an, President of Tsinghua College, which eventually became the prestigious Tsinghua University.

　　Earhart House

　　Amelia Earhart （1897 – c.1939）

　　Amelia Earhart is a famous American female pilot and feminist. She was the first female pilot to receive the Medal of Meritand the first female pilot to fly over the Atlantic and Pacific. Unfortunately, in 1937, whilst navigating an around-the-world flight, she mysteriously disappeared. Her disappearance is still a mystery.

　　Song House

　　Song Qingling（1893-1981）

　　One of the greatest women in 21th Century, Song Qingling was born in Shanghai. Sun Yat-sen's wife, she actively participated in a large number of state activities on behalf of the country, and put a lot of energy into the culture, education, health and welfare of women and children. She was honorary chairman of the China Women's Federation and in 1981, she was awarded the honorary title of Chairman of the People's Republic of China.
